KnockAtlas
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 5, 2026
KnockAtlas is a field-sales territory management platform operated by Marz Technologies LLC ("we," "us"). This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. It applies to knockatlas.com and the KnockAtlas application at app.knockatlas.com (together, the "Service").
The short version
- We collect the minimum needed to run the Service: account details, the business-lead data your organization loads, and activity you log while working.
- Location is captured only at the moment a rep logs a door outcome — the Service does not track anyone's position continuously or in the background.
- We do not sell personal information. The application loads no third-party trackers, analytics beacons, or advertising scripts — every script it runs is our own.
- Your organization controls its data. Organization administrators can export it at any time and can request full deletion.
Information we collect
- Account information. Name, work email address, role, team assignment, and a password (stored only as a salted cryptographic hash — we cannot read it).
- Customer business data. Organizations load business-lead records into the Service — business names, addresses, phone numbers, and related notes. We process this data on the organization's behalf and at its direction, as a service provider.
- Field activity. When a user logs a disposition (a door outcome), the Service records the outcome, any notes, and — if the device permits — the GPS coordinates at that moment, used to verify field activity for the user's organization.
- Photos. Users may attach photos (such as business cards or storefronts) to lead records. Business-card photos may be processed by an automated reader to fill in contact fields; photos are stored privately for the organization.
- Security and usage logs. IP address, browser type, and administrative actions (imports, assignments, sign-ins) are recorded in audit logs used for security and troubleshooting.
- Communications. If you email us, we keep the correspondence.
Location data, specifically
Because field-activity verification is central to the Service, we want this to be unmistakable: GPS coordinates are captured only when a disposition is logged, and are visible to the user's own organization (their management). The Service does not run background location tracking, does not record movement between knocks, and does not disclose rep locations outside the rep's organization. Employers using KnockAtlas are responsible for notifying their teams that logged field activity includes location, as required by applicable law.
How we use information
- To provide, secure, and support the Service.
- To send transactional email (invitations, password resets) — we do not send marketing email to application users.
- To investigate abuse, fraud, or security incidents.
- To comply with legal obligations.
What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not use customer data to advertise to anyone.
- We do not place third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts in the application. The only cookie the application sets is a session cookie that keeps you signed in.
-
In normal operation the application makes no request to any outside service: its code, fonts, and street map are all served from our own domain. Two exceptions are worth naming precisely. If a user switches the map to satellite view, aerial imagery tiles are requested from a mapping imagery provider; if our own map fails to load, a fallback street-tile provider is used. Those requests carry a map tile coordinate and nothing else — no lead records, no names, no addresses, and no user identity. We may also enable a Cloudflare bot check on the sign-in page, which sees only the sign-in attempt itself. A Content-Security-Policy served with every page blocks the application from sending data anywhere else.
Sharing
We share information only with the infrastructure providers required to operate the Service, under agreements that limit their use of it:
- Cloudflare — hosting, storage, and network security.
- Resend — delivery of transactional email.
- Google Workspace — our company email for support correspondence.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (in which case this policy continues to apply to previously collected data).
Data retention and deletion
We retain data while an organization's account is active. Organization administrators can export their organization's complete data at any time from within the Service. On termination, an organization may request export and deletion; deletion permanently removes the organization's records from our systems. Individual users seeking correction or deletion of their information should contact their organization's administrator, who controls the account, or contact us directly.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Passwords are stored as salted PBKDF2 hashes. Access to data is scoped per organization and per role, administrative actions are audit-logged, and repeated failed sign-ins are rate-limited and locked out. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but security is a design principle of this Service, not an afterthought.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to ask what we hold about you. California residents may exercise rights under the CCPA/CPRA. To make a request, email support@knockatlas.com — we will verify and respond within the time required by law. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising privacy rights.
Children
The Service is a business tool and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify organization administrators. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
